Hericium erinaceus (also called lion’s mane mushroom, bearded tooth mushroom, satyr’s beard, bearded hedgehog mushroom, pom pom mushroom,Monkey’s Head, or bearded tooth fungus) is an edible and medicinal mushroom belonging to the tooth fungus group.It is native to China, Japan, North America and Europe. This mushroom has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for hundreds of years. It has been used to treat diseases of the kidneys, liver, spleen, stomach,etc. Lion’s Mane is also thought to improve digestion, strengthen physical condition, and possibly even inhibiting the growth of certain cancers.
